when i was a teenager, i would go shopping with my mom and she would dress my brother in garanimals, clothing that was built on the idea of matching sets. it's something that i rediscovered when i was shopping for my first office job, and you had to wear suits (yes, i did wear coordinates from macy's that were 2 or 3 for $99). it's an idea that seemingly died out, at least as far as i was concerned, until the past few years when matching sets have become de riguer. so in the interest of what goes around comes back around, i've pulled out this early aughts colorblock calvin klein silk jersey set that looks like a dress. and while i've enjoyed wearing the pieces separately, it's never as good as when they're together.
calvin klein collection top and skirt (check out some other coordinating sets below), alexander wang pumps, céline clutch (similar here and here), forever 21 hoops, jewelmint (similar), céline (similar), eddie borgo and hermés bracelets; dannijo and gorjana rings
